Training Plan for NLP Master Practitioner training, Hong Kong, 13-16 then 20-23 October 2022
To get the best experience from your investment in this training, I recommend the following:
- Watch the tutorials and join the live sessions on a desktop PC or laptop with as large a screen as possible. You might even plug your computer into your TV's HDMI or VGA input for a more 'immersive' experience.
- Place your webcam or laptop camera close enough that you are clearly visible in the Zoom window, so that your fellow students can interact with you more easily.
- Use high quality headphones or external speakers, as poor sound quality will adversely affect your learning experience.
- Ensure that you are not likely to be disturbed for the duration of the training. If you do miss anything, you can watch the recording, though joining live is far better.
You can watch each day's video tutorial at any time on the day of the live session, but make sure you have watched the entire tutorial before you join the live Zoom session at the time listed below as you will be discussing it with your fellow students for the first 30 minutes of each day. Allow yourself at least an hour to watch each video - longer if you want to pause the video, take breaks and allow yourself time to reflect and make notes.
If you don't already have a free or paid Zoom account then sign up before the first session as you will need to be signed in to Zoom in order to join securely - the free account is fine for this.
The live sessions will be recorded and you will be able to access those recordings until I need to make space in my Zoom storage, so I encourage you to download them and store them on your computer if you want to revisit them later on. Many students find this valuable when they are preparing for their assessment.
A new tutorial video will appear each day.
Live sessions
You will need to give yourself enough time to watch the tutorial video before joining the live session, so I recommend starting no later than 13:00, or earlier if you want time to pause, rewind and reflect.
Join the live session at 14:00 HK time each day using this link: https://genius.li/NLPMPHKz
The first 30 minutes will be a group discussion and reflection, based on the tutorial that you have watched.
The main training session will then begin each day at 14:30.
We will take two breaks during the training session of 30 minutes each, so our schedule will be as follows:
13:00 - The latest time that you would begin watching the tutorial (earlier if you wish to give yourself time for notes, review and a break)
14:00 - Join the live call for the group reflection https://genius.li/NLPMPHKz
14:30 - Main training session begins
16:00 - First break
16:30 - Training session resumes https://genius.li/NLPMPHKz
18:00 - Second break
18:30 - Training session resumes https://genius.li/NLPMPHKz
20:30 - Main training session concludes

Assessment
The assessment for NLP Master Practitioner comprises a modelling project, enabling you to apply all of your skills which you have developed and practiced during the training. You will select a skill or talent which you are interested in, find at least three people to interview, create a simplified model of that talent and then teach that talent to someone else. You will be very familiar with this process by the time you are ready to start your modelling project.
To make the best use of the group's time given the online format, you will conduct your main modelling project once the 8 days training have concluded, and you will arrange a date and time to present your project. Whilst there is no time limit for this, I do encourage you to do it sooner rather than later. You are given 30 minutes for your presentation, plus 15 minutes for Q&A. You will then receive individual feedback and have the opportunity to ask any questions that you may have about the process.
All of the times for individual presentations will be shared with the group so that you can join any other presentation that you are able to. I encourage you to do this, as you will learn a great deal from each other, and of course you will be able to support each other as you reach the end of this challenging and exciting journey.
